Salah believes ‘Roma can beat Real Madrid’ in CL


Roma are looking forward forward to qualify for the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after eight years.
The Moroccan winger believes that his club can overcome Real Madrid in the final 16 of the Champions League.
After finishing 2nd to group E, after Real Madrid’s rivals Barcelona, the Italian capital based club drew Los Blancos  in the knockout stages.
Since 2007-2008 when they lost to Manchester United, 3-0 on aggregate, the Italian club couldn’t make the quarter finals.
Anyway, Mohamed Salah is confident that his team has the potential to beat Real Madrid and qualify for the final eight.
Speaking to Roma’s official website, Salah said: “I think we can do it. I think, in my opinion, we can do it.”
“I’ve always have had a dream to play against Real Madrid. Everybody knows Real Madrid but for us we need to do our job, we need to do our work, we need to stay focused in order to fight and play well.”
“I think we can do it.”
The talented winger also reveals why he chose Roma after leaving Chelsea in the off-season and has set his sights on glory in the Italian capital.
Mohamed Salah said: “I chose Roma for many reasons.”
“I want to win something here. I like the city. I like the club. I think I’m happy here and I like everything.”
After 17 games, Roma sit fifth in the Serie A table with four points behind the leaders Inter.
On 23 January 2014, Salah joined Chelsea after a deal agreed between the Londoner and FC Basel. The Moroccan couldn’t impress with his appearances at Stamford Brdige and was loaned to Fiorentina until the end of 2014-15 seeason.
Salah joined Roma on a season-long loan, with the option to make the deal permanent, to buy him permanently just three months later. Salah made 13 appearances for Roma and scored 5 goals so far this season.
